1990 - 2005 year models. Remove enough material from the web of the shoulder harness guide to allow it to rotate as far forward as possible, until the loop hits the bar. Remove metal from the side only as shown in the photo so as not to weaken the guide.
If you are installing a Hard Core Hardtop or Xtreme grind or file a small amount of the plastic off the back side of the guide where it contacts the main hoop of the bar to allow it to rotate more to the front.

'94 - '00 seat belt reels. With the seat belt reel pulled away from the car remove the 2 pop rivets that hold the upper bracket to the reel and remove the bracket. This will prevent the reel from being wedged behind the bar causing the belt to retract slower. Lean the reel inboard (toward the center of the car) for better belt alignment and smoother retraction.

On the '90 - '93 models and '01 - '05 simply bend the small tab on the upper bracket down flat and discard the small upper alignment bolt w/ 10 mm head to allow the reel to lean inboard (toward the center of the car) for better belt alignment and smoother retraction.
